They weren't the only good servers: Vermilion was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Huron had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Polar Bears as they made off with a 3-0 win.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Huron was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-9.
Huron found their leader in sophomore Adelyn Van Sickle, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Vermilion has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10 aces per game. However, it's not like Huron struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Vermilion suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Huron when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Sailors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
