Shrine Catholic dropped down to 3-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were just a  hair shy of victory  and fell  27-26 to the Cabrini Monarchs. Surprisingly, this marked the Knights' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
 When it comes to explaining why Shrine Catholic lost, don't look at  Jaycee Foster. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
As for Cabrini, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. The  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.2 points on average this season.
 A big part of Cabrini's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Evan Bergdoll and his top target  Lander Emerick. Bergdoll threw for 226 yards and three  TDs while completing 80% of his passes while  Emerick picked up 129 receiving yards and three  scores. Those  three  receiving touchdowns gave  Emerick a new career-high.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Shrine Catholic is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Our Lady of the Lakes  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Knights 10.8, the Lakers 7.4) so any  points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cabrini will  take on  rival Bishop Foley  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
