The Sandy Valley Sidewinders will head out on the road to square off against the Beaver Dam Diamondback at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Sandy Valley sitting on six straight victories and Beaver Dam on three.
Sandy Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 65-54 win over Word of Life Christian Academy.
Sandy Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tage Colon, who scored 13 points along with seven steals and six assists. Damion Turner was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Beaver Dam earned a 46-33 win over Mountain View Christian on Friday.
Sandy Valley pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Beaver Dam, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
Everything came up roses for Sandy Valley against Beaver Dam in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 74-37 victory. With Sandy Valley ahead 49-26 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
