Pine Lake Prep's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Langtree Charter Academy 15-0. Considering the Pride have won ten matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kristen Armstrong made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Emery Jensen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Green, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Pine Lake Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive games.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Bradford Prep and Mountain Island Charter, and Mountain Island Charter kept the tradition alive. The Bears came up short against the Raptors on Tuesday, falling 21-1. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring match so far this season.
Emma Patheal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
Pine Lake Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Bradford Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Bradford Prep's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Pine Lake Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bradford Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Pine Lake Prep keep running through batters, or will the Bears buck the trend?
