The Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 35-14 margin over Windsor Academy. The result was nothing new for Westminster Schools of Augusta, who have now won ten games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westminster Schools of Augusta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Levi Murphey, who threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns. Murphey hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. Rader Ketterman was in the mix too, providing Westminster Schools of Augusta with two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Westminster Schools of Augusta's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Levi Ketterman was especially locked on to Windsor Academy's QB and sacked him twice.
Windsor Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jay Singleton, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and Dalton Sims who picked up 56 receiving yards and a touchdown. Singleton has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played.
The win (which was Westminster Schools of Augusta's eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.6 points per game. As for Windsor Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
