Baseball Recap: Steinbrenner Has No Trouble Against Gaither

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Steinbrenner had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Gaither Cowboys. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ty Ciccarello was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Steinbrenner was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Steinbrenner is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gaither, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-8.

Steinbrenner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-4 defeat against Plant on the 17th. As for Gaither, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against East Lake on the 23rd.
