First Colonial came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Tallwood Lions by a score of 6-1. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

First Colonial pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Tallwood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
