The Maclay Marauders won the last time they faced the Sneads Pirates, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Maclay walked away with a 44-37 win over Sneads.
Journey Kramer was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 17 points. Aleeza Moore was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabby Bellamy, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Sprouse, who scored 8 points.
Maclay has yet to lose a contest on the road this season, leaving them with a 5-1 record. As for Sneads, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Maclay will be playing at home against Wewahitchka at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wewahitchka will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while Maclay is ranked 155th). As for Sneads, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty County at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty County's defense has only allowed 20.2 points per game this season, so Sneads' offense will have their work cut out for Sneads.
