The Bryant Hurricanes will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the McIntosh Demons at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Bryant pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 77-57 walloping at the hands of Vigor. While losing is never fun, Bryant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Vigor is ranked 67th).
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, McIntosh's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jackson. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bryant's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-11. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for McIntosh, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2.
Everything went Bryant's way against McIntosh when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Bryant made off with a 62-38 win. Does Bryant have another victory up their sleeve, or will McIntosh turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
