The Banff Bears can finally bid farewell to their 14-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 51-47 W over Central Christian Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Banff also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Banff was led to victory by Vinnie Chu and Martin Cook. Chu almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Cook dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 rebounds. Cook is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least nine every time he's taken the court this season.
Banff's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-16. As for Central Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Banff will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
