This season hasn't been kind to the Mead Raiders, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were beaten by Cedar Bluffs 49-18 on Tuesday. Mead lost against Cedar Bluffs in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-29 score last time.
Mead got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Elizabeth Brennan and
Taylar Shull, who each put up five points. Shull also led the team in rebounds with seven.
Riley Koranda took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Mead bumped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cedar Bluffs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Mead will head out on the road to face off against Yutan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Yutan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Cedar Bluffs, they will be playing at home against Lewiston on Friday. Lewiston comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
