Perry has won three straight games at home, while Edgewood has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Pirates will welcome the Warriors at 11:00 a.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Perry 2.7, Edgewood 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
17 must be Perry's lucky number: they beat Harvey with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Pirates blew past the Red Raiders 17-1. Considering the Pirates have won 13 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Morgan Winters made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Ella Bayless-Fahey and Arianna Rogers did most of the damage at the plate: Bayless-Fahey got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Rogers went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Bayless-Fahey a new career-high. Emma Brainard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Perry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Edgewood earned a 6-3 win over Jefferson Area on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.
Lucianna Paolillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Haylee Rhodes was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Natalie Ianetta, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Perry's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Perry has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12 hits per game. However, it's not like Edgewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Perry came out on top in a nail-biter against Edgewood in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
