Preston Splitt was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Colt Kramer, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
P.K. Yonge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
While Bradford didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Hamilton County 7-1 on Monday.
Ryland Rike was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taylor Bice, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Burgin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
P.K. Yonge's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Bradford, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Bradford's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: P.K. Yonge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. It's a different story for Bradford, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain P.K. Yonge's hitters?
