Denny Joseph posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Joseph's strong effort led Neshannock over Aliquippa and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Quips are limping into the matchup having lost six straight at home dating back to last season.
