Windsor moved up to 407 from 468 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in North Bay. The Jaguars climbed the ranks as a result of topping Santa Rosa 37-28.
Rancho Cotate extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Casa Grande, 28-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Michael Courchaine and Jalon Luque gave Rancho Cotate a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Courchaine threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns, while Luque ran for 89 yards. Tanoa Peleti also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.
Jarred Roberts was the best wideout in the league this week as the Gauchos lost to Ed Conroy's team. Roberts tallied three receptions for 86 yards. Elijah Qualls helped Casa Grande's passing attack out by catching two balls for 18 yards.
Casa Grande's JaJuan Lawson and Roberts have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading North Bay in both passing and receiving yards. Lawson has thrown for 1335 yards this season, while Roberts, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 21 catches for 473 yards. The Cougars' Luque leads the league in rushing yards with 1014.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Windsor takes on Cardinal Newman. Vic Amick's team is in fourth place, while the Cardinals are in second place.
Montgomery and Ukiah played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Montgomery eventually emerging with a 13-9 victory.
