The Colonial Christian Patriots and the Miami Christian Victors squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but sadly the Colonial Christian Patriots had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Victors 85-44. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Colonial Christian in their matchups with Miami Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
Miami Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylyn Laguna out in front who scored 25 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laguna has scored all season. Maria De Gracia was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Colonial Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Miami Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-12.
Colonial Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miami Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-49 loss vs. Schoolhouse Prep on the 9th.
