The Poly Bears and the Ramona Rams squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Poly Bears had to settle for second. Their rough 38-17 loss to the Rams might stick with them for a while. Poly's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Sincere Tolbert, who rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry for Ramona. Tolbert has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. Jeremiah Acosta was another key contributor, throwing for 199 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Ramona, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ramona will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Torrance at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Torrance's defense has only allowed 16.4 points per game this season, so Ramona's offense will have their work cut out for Ramona.
