With a playoff game on the line, the Woodland Christian Cardinals rose to the challenge on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trojans 28-0 on the road. The win was just business as usual for Woodland Christian, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
Woodland Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Hunt led the charge by rushing for 103 yards on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 72 yards and a touchdown. Those 103 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for him. Devin Herrera also helped out with an impressive 96 receiving yards.
Woodland Christian's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.08 points. As for Orland, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.
Woodland Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Banning at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Banning is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Orland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
