The Highlands Scots will head out on the road to challenge the Rio Vista Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Highlands unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Golden Sierra 58-52. Highlands has struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Rio Vista unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vacaville Christian.
Despite the loss, Rio Vista had strong showings from Ashlynd Rhett, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, and John Peterson, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season.
Highlands' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11. As for Rio Vista, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7.
Things could have been worse for Highlands, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-51 loss to the Rams in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rhett, who shot 6-for-13 from long range and dropped a double-double on 35 points and 11 rebounds.
