Dobson is on  a six-game streak of home losses, and Mesa a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck  on Tuesday. The Dobson Mustangs will look to defend their home field  against the Mesa Jackrabbits  at 3:45  p.m. Dobson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7  runs per game  this season.
Having struggled with six  defeats in a row, Dobson  turned things around against West Point  on Monday. They were the clear victors by  a  12-1 margin over the Dragons. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous   contest.
 Brody Dobson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Dobson was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Freddy Leal was a standout: he scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Noah Giron, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Dobson  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. They are 4-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
Meanwhile, Mesa fell victim to Red Mountain and their airtight pitching crew  on Thursday. They lost  10-0 to the Mountain Lions. Considering the last time the Jackrabbits couldn't score was  back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.
 Mesa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gerardo Sanchez, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double.
 Dobson's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
 Dobson came out on top in a nail-biter against Mesa when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, sneaking past  5-4. Will the Mustangs repeat their success,  or do  the Jackrabbits have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
