The Harding Skippers pushed their score all the way to 72 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 73-72 to Bristol. Harding has struggled against Bristol recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Skippers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joshua Parsons, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jan Castellano, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Bristol, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Harding's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Windham at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Bristol, they will head out on the road to take on Chagrin Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Chagrin Falls knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Bristol likes a good challenge.
