It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Brandon Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Greyhounds out 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Brandon as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Brandon's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five matches. As for Ocean Springs, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2-4.
Brandon is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Northwest Rankin at 5:00 p.m. on February 13th. Northwest Rankin will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Brandon surely won't give up without a fight. Ocean Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
