Basketball Recap: Dillon Skates Past Aynor with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Dillon over Aynor in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Dillon Wildcats blew the Aynor Blue Jackets out of the water with a 63-29 final score. The Wildcats pushed the score to 48-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Jackets had little chance of recovering from.

Dillon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zamaurious Robertson, who posted ten points. Robertson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was S Taylor, who had nine points.

Despite the loss, Aynor still got an impressive performance from Lucas Kamp, who scored 15 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Kamp a new career-high. Jamarion Mitchell was another key player, putting up a point and three steals.

Dillon has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Aynor, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Dillon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-48 defeat against Georgetown on the 1st. As for Aynor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-48 loss against Waccamaw on the 4th.
