Dover may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they take on Pinkerton at 7:00 PM. The odds don't look promising for Dover, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
Dover had to kick off their season on the road last Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past Timberlane with points to spare, taking the game 34-14.
Meanwhile, Pinkerton took care of business in their home opener. They took the match and then some with a 48-0 victory. The margin was wide but not a surprise since they are ranked far ahead of Spaulding in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. We'll see which team can carry over they success and which team inevitably falls when Pinkerton and Dover clash.
