The Hartsville Red Foxes lost against the Spring Valley Vikings back in December of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hartsville fell 47-34 to Spring Valley. Hartsville has not had much luck with Spring Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Hartsville still got an impressive performance from Jazzy Frierson, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Frierson scored a full 50% of Hartsville's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Hartsville's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Spring Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Hartsville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Scott's Branch at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. Scott's Branch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Hartsville is ranked 63rd). Spring Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dutch Fork at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
