After a string of three wins, the Indian Trail Hawks's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Kaukauna by a score of 60-57. While losing is never fun, Indian Trail can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while Kaukauna is ranked 42nd).
Despite the loss, Indian Trail still got an impressive performance from Mj Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. Stackhouse is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was LJ Dagen, who scored six points along with five assists and four steals.
Indian Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Kaukauna, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Trail will take on Oak Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Indian Trail likes a good challenge. As for Kaukauna, they will be playing at home against Hortonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hortonville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
