Basketball Recap: Parker Has No Trouble Against Odyssey Institute

Parker won the last time they faced Odyssey Institute and things went their way on Tuesday too. Everything went the Parker Broncs' way against the Odyssey Institute Minotaur as the Parker Broncs made off with a 60-34 win. The Broncs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Odyssey Institute's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gwendolyn Carricart, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 17 rebounds. Carricart has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Shelby Hunt was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Parker and bumps their season record up to 11-9. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.5 points. As for Odyssey Institute, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Parker has already played their next game, a 42-37 win against Highland Prep on the 6th. As for Odyssey Institute, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 34-16 victory against Tonopah Valley on the 6th.
