After losing to the Fairborn Skyhawks the last time they met, the Butler Aviators decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Butler strolled past Fairborn with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 47-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Butler.
Despite the loss, Fairborn still got an impressive performance from Taiyou Williams, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals. Williams scored a full 30% of Fairborn's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. William Perry was another key contributor, scoring six points.
The victory got Butler back to even at 2-2. As for Fairborn, they bumped their record down to 1-2 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Piqua the next time they take the court. Fairborn will head out to face Piqua at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Butler will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
