They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over Timpson on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dragons have posted since October 18, 2024.
Shelbyville's win came from a few key players San Augustine will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was John Hignight, who rushed for 120 yards and one score.
Shelbyville's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Eli Matthews, Detoris Hubbard, and Cason Lee, who each picked up one sack apiece.
