The team also got some help courtesy of Tra'shawn Warren, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Lake Weir's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for South Sumter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
