Softball Recap: Northmont Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Northmont barely beat Springfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Thunderbolts blew past the Wildcats 8-1 on Monday. The Thunderbolts haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Northmont pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northmont is set to challenge their familiar foe Springboro at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Springfield will take on rival Miamisburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
