The Fieldston Eagles were the 30-28 winner over the Morristown-Beard Crimson when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fieldston fell 27-14 to Morristown-Beard on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Fieldston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 383rd in New York, while Morristown-Beard is ranked 58th in New Jersey).
Although Fieldston took the loss, they still got scores from Andrew Kaplan and Marcus Cooper-Leary.
Fieldston now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Morristown-Beard, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Fieldston will be playing at home against The Pingry School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Morristown-Beard, they will head out on the road to face off against Rye Country Day at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Rye Country Day will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
