Lafayette Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road last week, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Northside as the squad secured a 55-0 win. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Lafayette Christian Academy are ranked far ahead of Northside in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Meanwhile, Loreauville had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a serious blow against Vermilion Catholic, falling 6-45. Loreauville were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-31.
Lafayette Christian Academy's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Loreauville's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Lafayette Christian Academy can add another positive mark to their record or if Loreauville can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Lafayette Christian Academy's step.
