They took a serious blow against Corinth Christian Academy, falling 64-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Gainesville Christian Community has suffered yet this season.
Corinth Christian Academy was led to victory by Hunter Thomas and Alden Hughes. Thomas dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Hughes scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Hughes hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Justin Fowler, who scored six points along with five steals.
Gainesville Christian Community dropped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Corinth Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.
Gainesville Christian Community will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Saint Francis Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Corinth Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against First Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. First Christian is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
