Aquinas Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Tome Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Aquinas Academy was the victim of a rough 65-41 loss at the hands of Tri-State Christian. While losing is never fun, Aquinas Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 297th in Delaware, while Tri-State Christian is ranked 86th in Maryland).
Meanwhile, even though Avon Grove Charter scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Tome still came out on top. Tome walked away with a 70-60 win over Avon Grove Charter.
Aquinas Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Tome, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
Aquinas Academy came up short against Tome in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 51-38. Can Aquinas Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
