Whitmer lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jada Shoup, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Finch, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Whitmer's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Ross, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitmer will square off against Findlay at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
