Whitmer lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jada Shoup, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Finch, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Whitmer's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Ross, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitmer will square off against Findlay at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Findlay is ranked 156th, while Whitmer is ranked 177th). As for Ross, they will head out on the road to challenge Springfield at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
