Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Jervis). They blew past the Liberty Redhawks, posting a 62-0 victory. The Raiders have beaten the Redhawks the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Redhawks has come to flipping the script.
Dylan Fox continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 230 yards and four TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushing for 40 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Amato Natale, who picked up 50 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Natale, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Port Jervis' defense and their three sacks. Colin Curreri was especially locked on to Liberty's QB and sacked him twice. Port Jervis received some extra help from Curreri, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Port Jervis' record is now 4-0. As for Liberty, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
