The New Milford Green Wave will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Immaculate Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in New Milford's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home while Immaculate has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
New Milford can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They blew past New Fairfield 51-26.
Meanwhile, Immaculate sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 victory over Northwest Catholic on Saturday.
Immaculate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Callie Miller led the charge by scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Miller has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Kristina Asmani was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
New Milford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Immaculate, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
New Milford and Immaculate were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but New Milford came up empty-handed after a 46-45 loss.
