The Frontier Titans have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lemoore. Frontier lost against Lemoore in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-37 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Frontier lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Zach Garnett. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Garnett hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Logan Frisch, who scored 11 points.
Lemoore had a senior duo take command as Kaden Lopes shot 4-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds and Kobe Green scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Papa Laye, who scored five points along with two steals.
Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Lemoore, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.
Frontier and Stockdale will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Stockdale is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Lemoore, they will head out on the road to face off against Dinuba at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dinuba will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
