The victory was some much needed relief for Tuscaloosa Home Educators as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Tuscaloosa Home Educators' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Arsenault, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Lanie Westerberg, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Evangel Christian still got an impressive performance from Hallie Wells, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wells has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Cassimiro, who scored eight points.
Tuscaloosa Home Educators' win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Evangel Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuscaloosa Home Educators will take on North River Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North River Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. As for Evangel Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Rocket City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
