Football Recap: Windsor Skates Past East Hartford with Ease

After only seven points in their last game, Windsor made sure to put some points up on the board against East Hartford on Friday. The Warriors breezed past the Hornets to the tune of 61-18. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Hornets are ranked 105th).

Anthony Robinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 301 yards and six touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 50 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Windsor's leading receiver Missoni Brown was Robinson's top target yet again, picking up 124 receiving yards and three scores.

Windsor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Charlie Lewis and Christian Acosta.

East Hartford's loss came despite strong showings from Isaiah Tripp and Anthony Caravallo. Tripp picked up 100 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Caravallo threw for 173 yards and three TDs. Tripp's receiving production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 100 receiving yards.

Windsor's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for East Hartford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will take on Bloomfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Hartford, they will challenge Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will be up against the Red Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.56 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
