Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The South Shore Vo-Tech Vikings, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by Clinton on the road and fell 38-8. South Shore Vo-Tech was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Cox, who rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Axel Ramos also helped out as he racked up 100 rushing yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Clinton's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Cox and his two sacks.
South Shore Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Clinton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Shore Vo-Tech will face off against Tri-County RVT at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-County RVT will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Clinton, they will head out on the road to face off against Rockland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Rockland is ranked 114th, while Clinton is ranked 118th).
