Homestead typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Fort Wayne Snider proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 8-5. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Spartans on Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Landen Fry and Trevor Jarvis did most of the damage at the plate: Fry got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Jarvis got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Jarvis has posted since back in April. Jack Mohrman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Fort Wayne Snider's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Homestead, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-3.

Coming up, Fort Wayne Snider will welcome Fort Wayne South Side at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Archers have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Homestead, they will square off against Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
