After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Chesnee finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of the High Point Academy Grizzlies by a score of 4-2. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Chesnee's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for High Point Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chesnee will face off against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for High Point Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
