When it comes to explaining why Cane Bay lost, one person who can't be blamed is Curtrell Dixon. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with six steals. Jarvis Roper was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two blocks.
Cane Bay's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Ashley Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Cane Bay won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Stratford at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Stratford has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19. As for Ashley Ridge, they will be playing at home against Summerville at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Summerville is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
