Reeds Spring ended up on the wrong side of a rough 63-41 walloping at the hands of McDonald County on Monday. Reeds Spring has not had much luck with McDonald County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Leading McDonald County to victory were Roslynn Huston and Dakota O'brien. Huston scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while O'brien dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. O'brien also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Jamie Washam was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds.
Reeds Spring's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for McDonald County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5-1.
Reeds Spring will head out on the road to face off against Blue Eye at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blue Eye presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Reeds Spring in Missouri (Blue Eye is ranked 150th, while Reeds Spring is ranked 406th). As for McDonald County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
