Oswayo Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against  the Port Allegany Gators on Monday, falling  24-11. Sadly, the  defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswayo Valley will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bucktail at 4:30  p.m.  on  the 10th. As for Port Allegany, they will face off against Otto-Eldred at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
