Parkland took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against the Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their offense was headlined by Edriannys Alvarez and Kie'Erra Quincy, who picked up four kills apiece. Quincy really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Braelyn Dillard controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkland will square off against Statesville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ben L. Smith, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Western Guilford at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th.
