Mundy's Mill took down Forest Park 56-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Rodney Smith ran for 185 yards in the win.
Drew made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,223 from 3,504. The improvement was the result of 45-28 victory over Ola last week.
Kyle Bailey made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Panthers lost to the Tigers. The 6-foot-0 junior recorded one fumble.
Derrick Craine was the most productive running back in AAAAA Region 4A this week. He ran for 240 yards on 20 carries as Union Grove topped the Mustangs. Miles Vaughn also contributed to the rushing game with 29 yards on the ground.
Rodricous Gates put up the best numbers through the air as Mundy's Mill topped Forest Park. He finished with three completions for 70 yards and one touchdown. Gates' favorite target this week was Eric Tate, who caught one pass for 41 yards.
Jackson was the best wideout in the league this week as Drew beat Ola. Jackson tallied four receptions for 45 yards. Lester Knauls helped Drew's passing attack out by catching one ball for 13 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Jay Murray of Drew is the league leader in passing yards this season with 598. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, the Tigers' Smith has rushed for 1256 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Caleb Ham. The Union Grove star has 12 catches for 252 yards.
A big matchup in AAAAA Region 4A this week will be when the Wolverines take on Mundy's Mill. Union Grove is in first place, while the Tigers are in third place.
