Basketball Recap: Byers Skates Past Center with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Byers rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Center Vikings 60-31. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Byers' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Eastwood, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 15 points and five boards. That's the most points Eastwood has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Eacret, who had nine points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Byers was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. They are 20-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Jaiden Martinez and Yanixan Padilla certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Martinez scored ten points, while Padilla earned nine points.

Byers has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. Center is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12-1.

Byers has already played their next contest, a 67-53 win against Akron on the 8th. Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
